Our positive call this week was made to Ohio as we called to let Mrs. Russell know how much we appreciated Mr. Russell.
"In a month that started with the tragedy in Georgia and ended with Hurricane Helene having his positive and steady hand leading the building has made all the difference. He has been a cornerstone for many of our staff and students and truly lives out serve each student and take care of people. " #OneDaniel #SpreadPositivity

SDPC News: Due to power issues at homes and schools and unsafe roads, as workers continue recovery efforts due to Hurricane Helene, schools are closed on Wednesday, October 2, and Thursday, October 3, 2024.
The primary reasons for these closures include a lack of stable power, unsafe but passable roads, and a number of non-operational traffic signals. We respectfully ask that families minimize travel on county roads during this time to help emergency workers access areas needing support.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as soon as possible about operations on Friday. Thank you for your patience, and stay safe!

Tonight, we had the opportunity to celebrate Daniel High School’s Teacher of the Year, Jenifer Tidwell, and our Support Employee of the Year, Mou Rangaraju, at the School District of Pickens County's annual banquet.
