Clemson Elementary is excited to partner with the Central Clemson Recreation Center to provide swimming lessons for our second-grade students! This valuable opportunity gives students the chance to learn and practice water-safety skills while building confidence and comfort in the pool.
Swimming is a lifelong skill that can serve our students for years to come. With Clemson’s close proximity to Lake Hartwell, local pools, and other opportunities for water recreation, learning how to be safe around water is especially important for our students and families.
Recently, WYFF News 4 visited Clemson Elementary to highlight our second-grade swim lessons and the impact this program is having on our students. It was exciting to see our students and this special partnership featured on local news!
We are grateful to the Central Clemson Recreation Center and all of our community partners who help make meaningful learning experiences like this possible. We are proud of our second graders as they learn important water-safety skills, build confidence, and make a splash in the pool!
