Volunteer Information

Volunteers at Clemson Elementary are welcome and appreciated. There are many ways to serve at CES. Some volunteers help in the classroom, work with PTA, assist with work on our facility and on the outside grounds, or assist with special events, chaperone field trips, tutor, or work in other areas according to a their talents and abilities.  Learn more important information about volunteering at Clemson Elementary here.

Raptor is the system that the School District of Pickens County has begun to use for all visitor and volunteer check in.  Raptor will conduct all the background checks and volunteer approval once training is complete and the online volunteer application has been submitted.

If you would like to volunteer, please follow the new procedures described below:

1. Attend a training.  All volunteers must attend a training every school year.

2. Complete the online application after attending training.  Pay $25 online for a background check that will last for three school years.  This is required if you will chaperone or work with students without teacher/staff present.

3. Wait for application to be approved.  Volunteers will be informed of the progress of the application via an email from Raptor.  Raptor has informed us that the application approval process will take a minimum of two weeks.  Therefore, planning ahead is absolutely necessary for volunteers.

4. Volunteers should contact the individual teacher via email for further information concerning the teacher's needs for assistance in the classroom.

5. Each time you volunteer, you must check in and out through the front office.

Training dates, times, and locations are
listed here.  Remember that you can get trained at any SDPC site, not just at Clemson Elementary School.
