Accolades

  • Students at Clemson Elementary have been first, second, and third place winners in the A-O-P Regional Science Fair.
  • We have had numerous placed teams in the state Odyssey of the Mind competition.
  • Clemson Elementary has been designated a Clemson University Professional Development School; students from Clemson University's School of Education attend classes at Clemson Elementary and interact with our students.
  • The Pickens County First Steps' office is located at Clemson Elementary.
  • The After-School Care program serves over 300 students.
  • America Reads students from Clemson University work one-on-one with After-School Care students.
  • Fifth graders to symbolize our hopes and commemorate the September 11th terrorist attacks built a Peace Garden. Rocks in the garden are painted with the word "Peace" in many different languages.
  • America Reads students built the Chrissy Prichard Reading Garden as a peaceful retreat for reading.
  • Bell South volunteers painted a giant American map on the playground.
  • Our Reading Buddies program pairs kindergarten students and third graders, second graders and fourth graders, and first graders and fifth graders as buddies in reading.
  • Various Clemson Elementary teachers have received the Bi-Lo/WYFF Golden Apple Teacher awards.
  • Clemson Elementary has had two School District of Pickens County Teacher of the Year winners.
  • Clemson Elementary has had three School District of Pickens County Support Employee of the Year finalists and one School District of Pickens County Support Employee of the Year winner.
  • We are a repeat winner of the Spirit Award for the Special Olympics.
  • We are a Palmetto Gold Showcase School.
  • Clemson Elementary is a Big Brother and Big Sister sponsored school.
  • Clemson Elementary has a Wal-mart Teacher of the Year Award winner.
  • Clemson Elementary won the SCAET Technology Innovative Program Award Honorable Mention in the Elementary School category.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Clemson Elementary School has students from many different countries. In our cafeteria are flags from all the nations who have sent students to Clemson Elementary over the years.
